四川云台观/Sichuan Yuntai Temple

云台观，这座拥有八百多年历史的皇家道观，位于四川云台山，背靠圣母山，面临锦江水，堪称我国著名的道教宫观之一。云台观始建于南宋开禧二年（1206年），由道人赵肖庵及其徒众募资修建了最初的三间大殿。经过多次损毁与修缮，至清光绪十五年（1885年），云台观已发展成为声名显赫的“蜀中第二道教名观”。

Yuntai Guan (Cloud Terrace Temple), an imperial Taoist temple with a history of over 800 years, is situated on Yuntai Mountain in Sichuan Province. Nestled against Shengmu Mountain (Holy Mother Mountain) and facing the Jinjiang River, it stands as one of China's renowned Taoist temples. Founded in the second year of the Kaixi era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1206 AD), the temple was initially built with three main halls funded through donations by the Taoist master Zhao Xiao'an and his disciples. Having undergone repeated damage and restoration over the centuries, Yuntai Guan developed into the prestigious "Second Premier Taoist Temple in the Sichuan Region" by the 15th year of the Guangxu reign in the Qing Dynasty (1885 AD).

云台观的主体建筑至今保存完好，其坐北向南的三重四合院设计沿中轴线布局，体现了中国传统建筑工艺的精湛技艺。然而，尽管建筑保存完整，这座古迹如今却面临无人问津的困境。

▣ Historical Origin and Background
The main architectural complex of Yuntai Guan remains largely intact to this day. Designed as a three-courtyard quadrangle complex laid out along a central axis and facing south, it exemplifies the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional Chinese architecture. However, despite the structural preservation, this ancient monument now faces the predicament of neglect and obscurity.

云台观现状与问题
▣ 衰败现状
现今的云台观，昔日的光辉已荡然无存。在风雨的侵蚀下，古建筑摇摇欲坠，部分塑像的油漆剥落，色彩黯淡。房屋的梁柱腐朽不堪，有的甚至歪斜欲倒。此外，消防设施简陋，电线老化，上山道路狭窄，公厕条件简陋，排水系统亦不完善。三台县文物专家周成孝指出，自然因素如冰霜雨雪对古建筑造成严重损害，同时白蚁也侵袭道观房屋的柱梁。然而，人为破坏也不容忽视，包括文物盗取、闲杂人等的破坏行为，以及年久失修和管理缺失等问题。云台观主持付元法道长坦言，由于云台观地处偏远，交通不便，游客和香客稀少，收入微薄，缺乏维护资金。

Current State and Problems of Yuntai Guan
▣ State of Dilapidation
Today, the former glory of Yuntai Guan has vanished. Eroded by wind and rain, the ancient structures are crumbling; paint on some statues has peeled off, leaving colors faded. Beams and pillars are severely decayed, some even tilting precariously. Additionally, firefighting facilities are rudimentary, electrical wiring is outdated, the mountain access road is narrow, public toilets are in poor condition, and the drainage system is inadequate. Zhou Chengxiao, a cultural relics expert from Santai County, points out that natural elements like frost, snow, and rain inflict severe damage on the ancient buildings, while termites also infest the pillars and beams. However, human-induced damage cannot be ignored, including theft of cultural relics, vandalism by trespassers, and issues stemming from prolonged neglect, lack of maintenance, and insufficient management. Abbot Fu Yuanfa of Yuntai Guan candidly admits that due to the temple's remote location and poor transportation access, there are few visitors and pilgrims, resulting in meager income and a critical lack of funds for maintenance.

▣ 修缮呼唤
鉴于云台观作为国家级文物保护单位的现状，其保护与修缮工作已显得刻不容缓。当务之急是筹集资金，对云台观进行全面的系统修缮。

▣ Call for Restoration
Given the current state of Yuntai Guan as a nationally protected cultural heritage site, its protection and restoration have become urgent. The immediate priority is to raise funds for a comprehensive and systematic restoration of the temple complex.

云台观传说与神奇现象
▣ 诸葛亮与七星灯传说
在云台观的后侧，有一个传说中诸葛亮曾巧妙布置“七星灯”的地方。传说道家在此布设“七星灯”，但因印台之顶人语未能完成大业，这个传说的真伪，至今仍无从考证。

Legends and Mysterious Phenomena of Yuntai Guan
▣ Legend of Zhuge Liang and the Seven Star Lamp
Behind Yuntai Guan lies a site where legend says Zhuge Liang (a renowned military strategist of the Three Kingdoms period) once ingeniously arranged the "Seven Star Lamp." It is said Taoist practitioners set up this lamp array here, but his grand undertaking (related to prolonging his life) was interrupted by human voices atop Yintai (Seal Terrace), preventing its completion. The authenticity of this legend remains unverified to this day.

▣ 玄天宫大门奇特音鸣
玄天宫大门传为鲁班所造，开关时能发出奇特的音鸣，有如金鸡叫和凤凰鸣。殿门前的滚龙缠柱与金童系红绫的装饰更是引人注目，古语有云：“左手开门金鸡叫，右手关门凤凰鸣。”当耳朵贴在大门中缝处时，又能听到门中传来的震动声音，宛如鸟鸣。

▣ Mysterious Sound of the Xuantian Palace Gate
The main gate of Xuantian Palace (Palace of the Mysterious Heaven) is traditionally attributed to the craftsmanship of Lu Ban (the legendary master carpenter). When opened or closed, it reportedly emits peculiar sounds resembling a golden rooster crowing and a phoenix singing. The decorations before the hall gate, featuring coiling dragons around pillars and golden boys tying red silk ribbons, are particularly striking. An ancient saying goes: "Open the left door to hear the golden rooster crow; close the right door to hear the phoenix sing." Furthermore, pressing one's ear against the central seam of the gate allows one to hear a vibrating sound emanating from within, akin to bird calls.

▣ 百年大殿纤尘不染
在圣母殿内，尽管长时间未曾打扫，却异常洁净，连一丝尘埃都未见。传说这与“避尘珠”有关。殿内洁净无比的景象，道长解释说，檐下从未有过蛛网，色彩依旧醒目。

▣ Spotless Hall After Centuries
Inside the Shengmu Dian (Holy Mother Hall), despite reportedly going unswept for extended periods, it remains exceptionally clean, without a trace of dust. Legend attributes this phenomenon to a "Dust-Repelling Pearl." Taoist masters explain this immaculate condition by noting that spider webs have never been found under the eaves, and the colors of the hall remain vividly fresh.
