Taoism holds that genuine love respects each other's independence, rather than binding together. Relationships that endure long-term rely not on intense passion nor grand gestures of sacrifice, but on minimal conflict, minimal confrontation, and minimal forcing each other. It's about more allowance and acceptance. Love is loving you as you are, not as I wish you to be!
